Level treadmill

Well, lately I've been level grinding on Final Fantasy XII. And normally I hate when I have to spend hours running around, hunting mob after mob after mob, but for once I'm really enjoying it. There's just so much to this game, it's crazy.

I was romping around one underground dungeon, just raising my stats, when I stumbled upon a rare monster that was way more powerful than my team. I had to use everything I had at it, but it was worth. I just like stuff like that; it completely surprised me.

And soon I have to fight an ancient dragon along with some walking trees. Ahhh...

Excited for Rogue Galaxy

I'm a big fan of Level 5 and the games they produce. Namely, Dark Cloud 2 and Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. And now they have Rogue Galaxy, a sci-fi themed action RPG, coming out in January 2007 for the PS2. Did someone say pre-order?

For a better summary of what the game is than I could possibly do, check out IGN's preview for all the details.

It's just very comforting to me that with this, Final Fantasy XII (which I'm still playing and will possibly still be playing over the next few months), and God of War 2 on the horizon, the PS2 isn't dead yet.

Zelda...mmm...

Considering this review for Zelda: Twilight Princess over at gamevideos.com is merely 23 minutes of straight gushing over the game, I'd say it's a safe bet that the whole reason to buy a Wii is to run around Hyrule. I'm now seriously considering starting a "I want a Wii!" fund. Well, actually, it'd be a "I want a Wii/Zelda!" fund. Either way, this sounds like a near-perfect game, graphics aside.
